Technical standards
The manufacture and use of KVH® structural timber is subject to compliance with the following technical standards, among others
- DIN 1052: 2008-12 Design of timber structures
- DIN 4074-1: 2003-06 Strength grading of wood: Sawn coniferous timber
- DIN EN 385: 2007-11 Finger jointed structural timber – Performance requirements and minimum production requirements
- VOB ATV DIN 18334: 2006-10 Carpentry and constructional timber works
- Agreement between the Federation of German Master Carpenters (Bund Deutscher Zimmermeister) and Überwachungsgemeinschaft Konstruktionsvollholz e.V. on KVH® structural timber made of spruce, fir, pine, larch and Douglas fir (December 2008 version)
