Duobalken^®/Triobalken^® beams - a further development for large cross-sections

Duobalken^® and Triobalken^® beams are industrially manufactured products made of either two or three planks or pieces of square-sawn timber which are glued together by their face sides with the fibers running parallel. Duobalken^® and Triobalken^® beams are also referred to in DIN 1052:2008 as glued laminated solid timber. The terms laminated timber, laminated beams and glued timber should be avoided because of the possibility of confusion with other products. The products are covered by approval by the German building authorities.

Thanks to the way in which they are manufactured, Duobalken^® and Triobalken^® beams as products offer outstanding dimensional stability and minimal splitting. The outstanding dimensional stability and low moisture content of Duobalken^® and Triobalken^® beams makes them particularly suitable for the construction of timber houses.
